TAMWORTH MINIATURE RAILWAY

TDME is responsible for building and managing this facility, situated in the scenic hills of East Tamworth, in Victoria Park, adjacent to the Tamworth Regional Botanical Gardens at the top end of Piper Street, Tamworth. We have 600 metres of dual-gauge (5 inch and 7¼ inch) track in concentric circuits with a 4 platform station and ticket office, 10 metre tunnel, fully serviced steaming bays, loading traverser, and rolling stock storage. Major earth works have been completed for an additional 400 metre Oxley loop, which will feature an 18 metre Bailey bridge and another tunnel. A secure workshop, loco store and signal box is also currently under construction.
