In the interest of your safety....
Train Passengers are required to wear fully enclosed footwear, keep their feet on the footboards, sit up straight and follow all directions given by the TDME in the interest of safety whilst riding our trains. Use of video cameras on moving trains is not permitted as it could cause you to fall if you were to become unbalanced. Our Safety regulation’s require everyone riding our trains to wear enclosed footwear for safety and protection. Passengers in bare feet or wearing thongs, sandals or open toe footwear will not be permitted to ride the train.

Some of our trains are Steam Locomotives. Steam Locomotives are HOT! so please be aware at all times and make sure your children or yourself do not touch the locomotive as burns can occur, steam locomotives emit smoke and steam and sometimes cinders. This is part of the attraction of this type of locomotive. It might be best if you don’t wear your best white shirt!

Our members have spent many years and money on there locomotives, many of these locomotives being life long projects for the builder and the owner/builder takes much pride In the finished locomotive. Please bare this in mind when around the locomotives, a simple rule can be followed “Look but don't touch”, admire these machines as they are intended but please do not touch unless invited to by the driver/owner. This also applies to the railway infrastructure, many members spend a lot of time maintaining our track, buildings etc so we ask that the passenger not interfere or intentional damage the railway in any way.

Intending Passengers, please remember to wear enclosed footwear and make sure you don't touch the locomotives unless invited to do so and more importantly have fun!
